As a child I could not get enough of the movie Mary Poppins . I do not know why, because the film was then already quite dated 1964. Now there's "Mary Poppins the Musical". I was wondering if that would convey the right feeling. Read more »

Soldier of Orange is an ambitious project. At the airbase Valkenburg is a special hangar converted into a theater for the musical. This aptly named "Hangar Theatre" We took place last night, wondering if the classic WW2 story of Eric Hazelhoff Roelfzema in this musical would be properly interpreted. Read more »

In Lucent Dance Theatre in The Hague this weekend I visited the musical Hairspray. This production of Albert Verlinde is touted as the largest touring musical of the Netherlands and the ultimate feel good musical. Familiar with the cast including Jim Bakkum Arjan Ederveen and a strong line-up. Read more »

Originally I did not grow up with musicals. In fact, I was Tarzan never been to a real musical. However, when a card was released for this version I thought a moment, for it is well known that the musical genre since Joop van den Ende himself was involved with it, has received an enormous boost.
