Online Football Manager has been growing for years and that means more servers to keep everything running. At the location where we had our servers, we were standing at the end of our expansion. Therefore, it has become necessary to move. We would Alblasserdam from Amsterdam to go to a completely new data center that was opened only in June 2011.
As many as 35 servers we had to disconnect load in cars at the new location and reconnect. A lot more than the last time we moved , because when we were still "only" 16. So there was a lot of planning and logistics involved. Fortunately, the whole process guided by an experienced team of experts JKIT , but like virtually every move brought this process is still a large amount of stress with it.

Sunday, December 4th, at 7:00 o'clock in the morning we literally pulled the plug from OSM . The loading of the servers seemed to proceed smoothly to a server fell apart because he was not fastened. I held my breath, but it turned out nothing was broken.

The ride to Alblasserdam lasted over an hour, after connecting the server could start. Unfortunately we had this little setback so we finally at 18:30 the evening had everything back online. The site was so over 12 hours went out. That had not happened often. But everything worked again and that was the relocation a success.

The new data center ensures that we GameBasics the "Champions League" to enter the field of hosting. In modern Dates Place has thought of everything. Redundant emergency generators, very strict security, excellent cooling and a redundant high-speed connection to the backbone of the internet. And very importantly, the ability to expand.
