From Thailand to Jordan

Earlier this year we had booked a trip to Thailand. Due to the severe flooding there, we finally decided not to go there to leave. The agent worked with us happy alternative: Jordan!
Of anticipation was already no longer: we did not want to as disaster tourists in Thailand to celebrate holidays between all those people who just had lost their homes. The images and messages from Thailand say enough, but it took agonizingly long before our trip could be rebooked. I still remember the images of the western tourists who were carefree on the beach after the tsunami. Fortunately, such a scenario narrowly averted.

So we go instead of the wettest, to one of the driest places on earth. Jordan is 90% desert so there is a flood is not expected. Although it is unfortunate that the trip could not go to Thailand, Jordan is anything but a second choice. We will see beautiful places like Petra, an ancient city made entirely of rock is carved and the Dead Sea, the saltiest lake on Earth. The journey ends in the seaside resort Aqaba.
All our experiences are of course again to follow through the online travel journal !
