The Ashton Brothers are a class apart in the Netherlands. I was once before at a cabaret show of them and had so much too high hopes. These were nevertheless fully met in this program called "Charlatans, A Medicine Show".
Fast exchange absurd sketches himself. We enjoyed a perfect mix of jokes, magic tricks, acrobatics, slapstick, recklessness, vaudeville and music.

Each of the four men who together constitute the Ashton Brothers is brimming with talent. They play with great ease one or more instruments may well polyphonic singing and, simultaneously if desired, one complicated tricks stunts. This combined with inimitable mimicry makes sure you have plenty to laugh and constantly on the edge of your seat.

There were quite a few original ideas in this show, the separate use of wheelchairs for example, and what about the organ playing with plastic bags.

The audience gave the performers after a very deserved thunderous applause. An absolute must for anyone who wants to see what the word "cabaret" actually should keep.
