Snow-covered

A rare natural phenomenon occurred this week. In a few days there was about 20 cm of snow fell. That is very unusual in the Netherlands and I had never before experienced. The traffic was badly disrupted and a walk you could better your snow boots pull out of the closet!
This beautiful snow scene was obviously a good excuse to once armed with a Canon 350D a stroll through the city. Hat on, mittens and briskly inside.
I did not have far to walk to a pretty picture shoot. The garden looked very convincing. With a photo of this spring there you can see just how much snow actually fell.
Annemarie had to drive quite a bit and that was no fun in this bad weather. We are alone, almost half an hour trying to get the car to dig out. The stories of slips and stranded motorists were legion. Fortunately she did without much difficulty to reach its destination.
