Weekend in Maastricht

For a nice weekend with a friend you do not always go abroad. From Johannesburg we went to Valkenburg and Sittard in this cozy place with nice terraces, you can easily relax.
In Maastricht we had a nice hotel, hotel Mabi. Upon arrival we immediately got a nice cake, and coffee presented with exactly where we needed it!
The hotel was tastefully decorated and located in the heart of town. You ran as the lively Market Square.
After the afternoon shopping spree, there was evening time to take a tour to walk along the numerous churches and for example the statue of Jan Pieterszoon Minck Leers with its eternal flame.

In Valkenburg was the arcade is still functional, so we have a little risky gamble, but no profiteering pocketed this time.
Finally we spent a visit to the charming market Sittard. And it might be a cliché but I can confirm: Limburg beer simply tastes a lot better in Limburg!
