Game Basics in 2009 is already 5 years, a fact that is appropriate should be celebrated. Since we are a football company at heart we decided to attend Premier League match: Arsenal Bolton Wanderers. At 9:10 o'clock in the morning left our Easy Jet flight to London.
The aircraft provided us with some delay neatly at Gatwick Airport, one of the four airports in the vicinity of London. With the Gatwick Express, a very comfortable train, we drove straight to the center. At this point we got on the London Underground, the Tube as the English say. From this subway, we would during our trip much use.
Saturday, the road to Arsenal
The trip took us to the stadium along a fan shop where the necessary Arsenal-branded items to obtain. Everything was for sale with the Arsenal logo on it: Pens Arsenal, Arsenal pillows, lollipops Arsenal, Arsenal fake tattoos, Arsenal socks, Arsenal tie Arsenal and hugs. The most absurd thing I saw was an Arsenal Toaster, you toast carved with the letters AFC.

We took the necessary steps for the competition and went to the stadium.
It was a bit more exciting if we were on time because at the last moment it appeared that the cards had to be retrieved at a location away from the stadium was. But fortunately took a bolt action via the Tube by Frank and Eric sure our afternoon was not in danger. With the match tickets in hand we went through the VIP entrance on the south side of the impressive Emirates stadium inside.

Lunch in the stadium
Inside the stadium there was nowhere to luxury. With an escalator we went upstairs and we ended up in a beautiful dining room where we were presented with a delicious lunch. There was free wine and given the unlimited buffet was very good to our attention!

After a well deserved meal we took our seats in the stands. Our comfortable and spacious Club Level places offered a truly magnificent view of the field. It was cold outside, so the Arsenal hat and scarf in the fan shop were smashed, came in handy. The stadium atmosphere was good.
The competition
The race started promptly at 3 hours and we soon recognized our compatriot Robin van Persie in the ranks of the Gunners. Van Persie was well underway and almost at every opportunity that Arsenal got was involved. Bolton Wanderers was basically not in the piece. Yet Arsenal could not easily close a hole in the defense of the visitors think, so it was still 0-0 at halftime.

In the second half came from the fiercer the Wanderers dressing room, but Arsenal showed more creativity in order. Yet it took until the final stage, the home club could continue printing. Robin van Persie struck first after an unprecedented action the pole. Moments later, substitute Nicklas Bendtner was the decisive set 1-0 on the board, on the advice of our fellow countryman. The stadium exploded, nice to experience.
The evening
After the Arsenal game we went at our convenience to the hotel to check-in. The 4-star hotel offering luxurious enough to keep a night out and was located near St. Paul's cathedral. From the hotel we were looking for a restaurant where typical English dishes were. I ordered the house specialty: Fish & Chips.

The rest of the evening was spent in a number of pubs, where we showed good English beer tastes. An enthusiastic group of amused until the small hours in the Soho Club .

Sunday, London
The next day we had the time to further explore London. After a delicious breakfast at the hotel we headed towards Westminster, where we include the famous Big Ben and Westminster Abbey with a visit worshiped. London is still a great city, if only because of the massive grandeur of the monuments and buildings.

We walked for a bit to Buckingham Palace and St. James's Park, where the squirrels were very photogenic despite the cold.
Now that we have had the necessary tourist attractions, we decided to go to Harrods. In this grotesque department store you can buy everything, very impressive. The lunch was not bad. Also particularly useful that the opposite Harrods to find a Starbucks for a nice cup of Starbucks.
Back to Netherlands
It was already time to accept the return. With the tube let us to the train station where we carry the train to Stansted Airport wanted to take. Here it became equally anxious when it appeared that these trains had been canceled. There are buses were deployed, but they did a really long time. We would probably not achieve our flight.
Fortunately for us, however, the plane had an hour delay, so we could check in on time. I can not remember ever been so glad that my flight was delayed! After an hour flight we arrived back at Schiphol and was this adventurous journey football unfortunately again.
