Surprise in Gran Canaria

I spent the past week, three days on the sunny Spanish island of Gran Canaria. The reason for this holiday paradise in november for a few days to do was very special.
This week, my friend Annemarie with her mother and brother for a week in Gran Canaria holiday. I decided to surprise her by midweek unexpectedly to her three days to come. In the deepest secret I scheduled days off and I booked the flight and the hotel. I brought them to the airport, said goodbye and a few days later I own the plane.
I knew she had to have their way and was quite a bit nervous when I was in the lobby of the hotel stood. Could it really happen to her surprise, and would they like it? Annemarie I called and gave her the instruction to the entrance. At that moment she guessed nothing. Only when we actually saw each other was clear to her that I was not called from the Netherlands, but from the same space. Luckily she was very pleasantly surprised and was succeeded!
Wednesday, November 12
Three days we had the time to do fun things together and explore the island. The exploration started with getting away. The Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort radiated a tremendous luxury. There were several pools and alone in the lobby of the shining gold and marble. The rooms were very spacious.

Around this time of year in Gran Canaria was still very pleasant weather. The mercury moved between 21 and 25 degrees Celsius. The first day we played a game of mini golf at the hotel and we visited the village of Playa del Inglés beach where sprayed with sand from the Sahara desert.

Thursday, November 13
Today we had a rental car at our disposal, a Mercedes A class. With this tough autotje we drove along the coast to various places. Our goal was to Puerto Mogan, which indeed proved to be a nice town with a harbor on the sea. We did further to Puerto Rico and Arguineguin.

All these villages were characterized by the many hotels, a small sandy beach and characteristic shops in jewelry, souvenirs and electronics. We drove our car over the mountains along the coast, which gave beautiful views.
After we do with the car I met my traveling companions the noble klaverjasspel. It should not go unmentioned that Annemarie and I by far the best team game showed so we remained well ahead of our opponents.
Friday, November 14
No holiday in Gran Canaria is complete without a dip in the pool. Since the weather was very hot today, we made use of the beautiful facilities that the hotel had to offer at that point.
After this refreshing swim we enjoyed playing some in and around the hotel and then it was time to leave me again dawned. Although it was a short visit, we had unforgettable days together. I also with my own eyes that my companions have good relax.
The impression I got from Gran Canaria is an ideal place to completely unwind. Apart from beaches and hotels there is not much to do for young people. You looked therefore mainly elderly around this time of year. The exotic location for the Moroccan coast, combined with the safety and familiarity of Spanish culture, language and euro, makes it a good destination for those who spend an entire week to unwind.
