Avalon website and video

Avalon is an RPG game for DOS that I work with Bowie have made between 1996 and 1998. This game we released as freeware and is over 200,000 times. Because it is now 10 years since Avalon saw the light, I look back at what nostalgic considerations attention.
The story
To begin briefly the story of Avalon. Mankind has ruined the earth and a spaceship landed on another planet. Here one begins with a small village and an agricultural society. This goes well for a while, but there appear on the planet for life forms are not happy with the arrival of the invaders.
These creatures attack the village and humanity must defend themselves. This runs rampant. Fortunately, you come over the scene, as the lone hero, Mace called to battle it out and go find out why the natives are friendly people so unfavorable.
Well received
The game was then very well received and we have many positive reviews received. The absolute jewel in our crown was the election to Shareware Strategy Game of the year by ZDNet . This award we won in 2000.
Dated
Because Avalon is already 10 years old, it looks very dated now. A small group who love nostalgic games will no doubt continue to appreciate, but it seemed like it anyway for a slightly wider audience accessible, so we can show you where we have worked two years at the time. So I made a movie about two minutes when you get an idea of the game.

I also for the fans a little website about Avalon made where information about the game is to find and where you can download . All music is for example in MP3 format.
Although I never such a large project would begin, I thought it was a great learning experience and I'm still proud of the end result. Making a game remains a fun activity where I happy in my daily work still involved may be.
