Garden on the shovel

The last major step in the refurbishment of the house relates to the garden. A few weeks ago I met a gardener to sit down and there is a plan to the garden to give a different view. The work has already begun.

The original garden was beautiful, but too maintenance intensive. The borders with plants were so generous that some of the beautiful plants that were not even visible. For someone who daily time to prune, weed and water it might be ideal, but not for me.

The new garden design provides a classic garden with lots of curves, attractive landscaping and a large part pavement. Also comes in a beautiful gazebo. But all this can be built, there must first be broken down naturally. And now that the construction phase.

I must remember that the weather will soon be going beautifully built, but the face that the garden at this moment, was quite a shock. Trees and plants of decades old root and branch torn away. Here and there is debris and soil. See the contrast but look at the pictures below.

Also of note is that the cracks in the facade were restored this week. That is another big fixer-upper, I might note.

Those repairs to the exterior of his otherwise handsome craftsmanship. It looks - in real life - very good. Now we just make an aerial to see if the roof still is in order?
