One year the key

One year ago, on February 1, 2007, I got the key to my new home. I am now officially a year now grow. My intention was to project within that year to complete and is reasonably successful. For although there is still plenty to do, its main tasks are done.

Painting Pantry The phase in which the finishing touches to be put expires. Hanging lamps and paintings, the last time a paint brush to get over somewhere and little things like getting rid of wires or laying of skirting.

The time when the whole house a mess was already seems long behind me, but it is only a few months ago. Had I known what I had started I would have probably not done. But the paradox is that now the work is finished, I'm glad I did not have advance knowledge!

Besides a few pictures of the various new things of the past few months. Oa the pantry is almost ready, most notably a painting made up of 16 panels. That was difficult to hang I can tell you. Furthermore, the final touches to the hallway and the living room.

The date of 1 February also played it through my head as a self-imposed deadline. On 31 January I hooked up the last door in it, like me at my previous house even at the very last one job to do.

Lamp room That is indeed a curious anecdote, because at my previous home I did exactly one year to finish the house. That came about because I really just really a wall until the very last saved. I lacked the motivation to finish the job. I was eventually forced him into the night from 8 to 9 november anyway wallpapering to myself in the mirror to keep looking.
The wallpaper was indeed, through which I am a strip of a different type of wallpaper had to use. Something that no one noticed, so much so it was not happy. ;-)

Painting living room This time it was very different, because I literally throughout the year, with pleasure,'ve been doing. The motivation was usually no problem. One weekend I did some more than others, but I tried to keep the momentum going, which is quite successful.

A builder I think I never will be, but I have at least a lot of new things learned. And it's quite nice, especially with all the details there. This year the garden once the time to start packing. I've cut down a tree, so it's a start. I wonder how that will be.
