Credits harvesting

Everyone has them so, memories of certain boyish pranks in the rashness of youth have committed. So I added a few. Previously I had known that I 've hacked sites . But there's more. In order to save my soul I'll get straight to shore stabbing.

When the Internet was still a novelty for most people, I regularly went online via a telephone modem. In our provider, we also had some free webspace and I utilized to learn how a web page had to make.

Soon I saw that the Internet had to make money. In addition to my meager pocket money and meager salary in a calendar wholesale, that was very attractive. Make money with your hobby, I found the best there is. But it was not all easy, it was soon clear.

Around the year 2000, or cable and start the savings programs and exchange and affiliate networks on the Internet to take shape. Because of the huge Internet hype when it was a lot of money over the squandered. There were programs in which you could download an advertising bar that you installed on your computer and that is snuggled up in your image. One example was "AllAdvantage". This bar did commercials again while surfing. For the time you were online we get a bedragje paid.

Perfect idea, of course, because I was often online. So I downloaded all these programs and my whole screen was filled with advertisements. But that made the computer quite slow and me all went fast enough. Since I am a programmer, I find out if I could automate surfing.

I wrote a program that if it were pretended to be someone on the computer was active. The program links clicked on, moved the mouse randomly and everything seemed in a "real" user. This ensured that night I could leave my computer on, and still made money. Of course this was forbidden, but it was so difficult to detect that no one would ever notice.

It worked pretty well for a while. The best were the times when a check came from America. I kept them in a shoebox. AllAdvantage sent me several checks from a few tens of dollars each time. This classification I at the local bank branch. The dollar was not so bad as now, so it was a nice little extra.

Another program I've written at that time was for the cheating of Cash Fiesta. This program had a very clever advertising bar in which a male around. That nasty little man continued walking until he detected that you was surfing. Occasionally he went to sleep, you had to wake him clicking at the right place to go. My program Micca followed the man in your picture and shook him awake at the right moments.

Unfortunately, those programs went bankrupt soon (how would that still come) and I had to focus on other things.

Micca

Meanwhile it was also advertising on websites violence erupted. For each visitor to your website you could get a certain bedragje. Also this could be quite easily manipulated. Through exchange programs, it was possible artificially to attract visitors to your site. There were dozens of such programs. In order to utilize them all, I wrote the MaccX: Magic Automated Credit Collector eXtreme.

When I turned MaccX on multiple programs at once ('Hits harvesting' I called it), my desktop looked like this:

The internet has now matured and is no longer paid for every visitor unseen. A good reputation of a website has become more important than sheer numbers of visitors. Fortunately, because the above examples were quite problematic. They show how stupid and naive some Internet companies were operating at that time.

The tricks that I describe above no longer work. How much money will I in this "gray" circuit course I've earned love for me, but more than a few hundred dollars is not so. If I have the same time at the Albert Heijn had started working, I had probably earned more per hour of work I had put it, but this was a lot more fun and exciting.

Incidentally, did not stop here regarding the 'harvesting', because this time I developed the website HitHarvester.com, which is a particular story. More about this in another blog.
