Series watch

The craze of recent years look series. This used to be difficult because you had to follow the series on TV, which meant that only once a week, at a fixed time, could be examined. Personally, I often could not afford. Videotapes were too clumsy and unwieldy. Today, however, you have the Internet and DVD that problem anymore. A nice pastime for a few episodes of some series view. Because I now have a lot of series have seen, it was time for a favorites list.

In this overview of the Anime series I can not relate, I already a little blog wrote about. These are television shows with real actors.

A TV series has the advantage over a movie that much more time to deepen characters and backgrounds to tell. Most series consist of at least 20 parts per season. In the first half hour movie should be explained where it is happening and what are the main characters, leaving little time for the actual story. A series has that problem.

As more and more money in TV series can be inserted, they are often almost cinema-worthy. If you and your home cinema back in your easy chair are watching, it is ideal.

1. 24
In 24 hero Jack Bauer is a member of the CTU (Counter Terrorist Unit). He must try the nefarious plans of terrorists to go. This series has had many seasons and it's still not bored. The moral dilemmas that the viewer gets dished, the setbacks occur (not everything succeeds Jack tries) and the voltage make it one of my favorite series.

2. Rome
Rome tells the story of Caesar, but through the eyes of two ordinary soldiers. This perspective makes the series so strong. In addition, the atmosphere is very authentic. For fans of movies like Gladiator is an absolute must. At time of writing there are 2 seasons of this TV series appeared.

3. Prison Break
An innocent man is stuck with him and his brother, a master plan to help escape from one of the most secure prisons in the U.S.. Super excited, super cunning plan. Really a topper, this series.

4. Lost
The story of a plane that crashes on an island somewhere in the pacific ocean. The survivors will soon discover that the island has many secrets. This is occasionally a bit far, slightly degrades the quality of the series. Nice is that you more about the main characters can learn through flashbacks that are quite interesting.

5. 4400
From space are 4400 people returned who had been abducted by aliens. They all have special gifts seem to have, one by one clear. A special team of agents returned to the people (or Hundreds-fourtyfour soon as they are called) protect and investigate. In this series, and especially by the character of Shawn, which appears to have healing gifts and from one moment to the other bombed leader of the 4400's, to me.

6. Jericho
In this series you'll see in episode one atom bombs explode everywhere. A town survives the disaster and the residents go slowly discover what's going on. With the emphasis on slowly: in the beginning, the series is deadly slow. But after a few episodes it really starts to be very nice and of course there at the end of season 1 is a huge cliffhanger. But wait on season 2.

7. Alias
Alias is about Jennifer Garner, who as a double agent trying to stop a terrorist organization. The intrigue, the fact that sometimes result in double-double-double spies and action make this a very entertaining series, which unfortunately is less each season. Advice: only the first three seasons watching, then stop.

8. The Office
The English version of The Office is one of the most hilarious series of the moment. The main character David Brent really knows all the blood under your fingernails to get away. The English version of Accounts Receivable.

9. Battlestar Galactica
In my youth I had the first Battlestar Galactica already seen and felt as if a good SF. The new version is totally different, but equally good.

10. Babylon 5
Ambassadors of all living beings in the Helal collected from a terrestrial station called Babylon 5, where they must try to resolve their conflicts. Of the SF series Babylon 5, I think one of the best. Not because of the crappy 3D, but mainly because of the political intrigue.

11. Heroes
A genetic anomaly allows certain people able to do things that before were considered impossible before, such as time travel, predict the future and fly. A fun series, but a bit far fetched in my opinion.

I fixed a few good series in this diverse range, so post your suggestions, but your comment ;-)

fans of jericho, we need your help.

as already mentioned, the series is again canceled by CBS

    BUT

There is interest from several other studios to take over. Just today it was announced that Comcast would want to buy and sci fi channel has already shown interest.

the first time we did not know that Jericho was but now we have the rangers (as the media calls the fans but also sometimes known as "the resistance unit") support if you find a good series.

I am not asking you to take another 40,000 pounds to peanuts but if you send the series third season is to give, I ask you to mail. cost nothing except a little time and some typing.

    1. send a friendly and polite mail to the purchasing department of the station Jericho in the Netherlands / Belgium has sent to ask them to put pressure on CBS to the series to sell to interested competitors. Can you also post who that was in the Netherlands than I can pass that info

    BUT

    2. important to the other rangers around the world to help with letters and emails to send to the right people at the studios.

Take a look at the thread BeNeLux ( http://www.jerichonet2.com/board/showthread.php?t=1612 ) to all data available.

The producers have announced that they overestimate the chances for the series to have sold but we have many from around the world to provide feedback. They have asked for regular postal mail to their mail servers and telephone savings. I ask no one to snailmail to america to send but if you on the forum of that site with an email to "bullroarer" then they send you an email delivery where you can email your letter to go. the american rangers will print and post your letter for you. if you do not know enough english please send me a Private Message in dutch and I will give the translation as soon as possible.

I am tired of some people in america with our audience cabinets series omwringen the neck. after canceling Battlestar Galactica season 4 after the abandonment of supernatural I draw the line at Jericho.

you will see that the second series of hard hit by the budget cuts and the recent writer strike but the story is far from unfinished. I am tired and want bigbrothers sometimes fiction show that is not about hospitals, doctors or police (CSI everywhere) goes. So if you are a fan of good fiction american do a few minutes effort and maybe we can fight against the windmills TV win.

no you, yes you can get

    NUTS!!
you never know when you might need a
