For a weekend in cosmopolitan Paris I usually say no no. There is plenty of art and history combined with shops and cafes to both lovers of culture as that of the unrestrained commercialism enough to charm. And Paris is of course the proverbial corner, within a few hours you're already there I went with Fleur once again this weekend to Paris to unwind, beautiful things to see and lots of shopping.

The reason for this trip was that I had won a Web site of action Netdirect . This time I had to lead scoring for dating site Up2Date . Something in my group of boys to 20 years apparently well managed.

Waiting for the MetroAnd more waiting for the Metro

Fleur on 't shop Pre was still a shock when it became clear that we were going by bus and that the trip inclusive tours' was. Fortunately, it soon appeared that the excursions were all optional, so we could organize our own time largely in Paris.

The Ibis hotel where we stayed, on the edge of the center at the Port d'Italy, was a bit spartan but it did fine. We were overlooking a large cemetery and a football stadium. The first day we started right away with an exploration of the inner city. Through a Carnet for the subway, we came right out of Notre Dame. We scoured the shops around there and went a bite in the old students near Paris, where we for € 10, - actually a three-course menu were presented.

And more shopping ... Saturday we left after the bus in the center off, after a short tour of major architectural highlights of Paris. We took the subway to the Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle to go. There was no specific rationale for such use, except that we had seen a nice picture of them in tourist guide.

We saw here specifically a special exhibition on the evolution theory of Darwin. This was done in typical French way: absurd amounts of stuffed animals in huge pompous buildings. It was an impressive spectacle. Next door we watched the well-tended botanical gardens of Paris.

That afternoon we went shopping in the building near the Opera and the Galeries Lafayette near the Tour du Montparnasse. Fleur knew her wardrobe again good supplement. We also discovered a real Starbucks in Paris. In this case we let our luxury a delightful cup of Starbucks' of course not deny! Evening we attended the "lights tour ', where we include the Eiffel Tower light show saw the famous beautiful.

On the Sunday we participated in the excursion program of the trip. It began with a cruise on the Seine, and then we made a stop at the Sacre Coeur. There is also plenty to do. We went another round on the Place du Tetre and then had to return again accepted.

Tired, satisfied and suitcases packed a lot fuller than before we boarded the bus again to the Netherlands. Thank pressure philosophising about what the next city trip will be ...

The building of the Natural History museum was very impressive

Dear children, I would be jealous (except the bus of course). When the technology is so advanced that we can travel with "Beep me up Scotty".

Pleasant would it myself sometimes once wanted to do. The exhibition of Darwin is also within my A Date so nothing to complain about is indeed a beautiful building complex.
